Highly efficient and durable
Sanitary ceramic
The basic ceramic mass consists of the natural raw materials clay, kaolin, quartz and feldspar. Quartz, chalk, feldspar and the mineral stone dolomite are mixed to make the glaze. The extreme high temperature resistance allows a firing temperature of approx. 1280°C. This results in a very high level of hardness, which is particularly advantageous in public sanitary facilities. The hygienically smooth surface glaze is wear and scratch-resistant, easy to clean and thus ideal for the use in the health sector. Sanitary ceramic is skin friendly as well as heat and fade resistant. The WonderGliss surface finish keeps washbasins, toilets and bidets attractive and clean for a long time and is made exclusively from raw materials that are not harmful.

The innovative material called DuraCeram® is thinner and notable for its extreme accuracy, high strength and elegant finish. In this way, a new dimension in design diversity is achieved: maximum elegance without any sacrifices in terms of quality, robustness and ease of cleaning.
DuraSolid® A
DuraSolid® A is a cast mineral material with outstanding properties. Unique moulding possibilities ensure a completely new look in the bathroom, while the matt, velvety finish feels pleasant to the touch.
DuraSolid® A can be used to create completely new design elements: precise edges and the seamless joining of three-dimensional parts. This results in flowing shapes without visible joints and seams, as in, for example, the Cape Cod bathtub by Philippe Starck.
DuraSolid® A is a high-quality, homogeneous material with full-body colouring that even retains its colour when damaged.
With class B slip-resistance, DuraSolid® A ensures additional safety when showering and taking a bath.
DuraSolid® Q
DuraSolid® Q is an innovative mineral material with instant appeal. The look and feel of the matt surface is reminiscent of natural stone. The slightly speckled surface enhances the natural look and is available in three colours (anthracite, sand and white), to match individual tiles and furnishing styles. Precise forms with the slightest manufacturing tolerances, as in Stonetto by EOOS, enable exclusive, straight-lined designs.
DuraSolid® Q is homogenous with full-body colouring. It has a very hard surface and density, making it more resistant to damage.
The surface structure of DuraSolid® Q with class B slip-resistance ensures additional safety in the bathroom.
The uniting element for the bathroom
Wood
Wood is comfortable, elegant and easy to clean. Warm wood tones are increasingly becoming more popular in the bathroom. With vanity units and wooden panels, the washbasin and bathtub themselves become pieces of furniture. They are complemented by wall cabinets, wall-mounted shelves and mobile storage units, creating an integral concept that includes and brings together all conceivable aspects of the bathroom. Respectively, Duravit offers a variety of real-wood veneers and additionally lacquer and décor surfaces. Bathroom furniture is manufactured specifically for the use in moist environments and is resistant to splash water and increased humidity. The edges are PVC-free and water resistant. The surfaces are sealed diligently, making them water-repellent.

A material with attractive properties
Acrylic
The advantage of acrylic is its warm, pore-free and smooth surface. It is pleasant to the touch and the user immediately feels at ease. With its white shimmering gleam, the material harmonizes with all of the other ceramic objects in the bathroom and ensures continuity of design. The bathtubs can be elegantly combined with furniture panel thus forming a link with the bathroom furniture. The user can rest assured knowing that the acrylic bathtub will retain its color throughout its lifetime. The material is colored throughout, UV-stable and colorfast. A bathtub made from sanitary acrylic is not only easy to install, it is also resistant to almost all conventional cleaning agents.
