Water bed. The modern country house in Belgium epitomizes simplicity — even an “understatement” — when viewed from the outside. However, its mighty roofs and sizeable enclosed walls conceal a surprising ambience inside: dark floors, orderly openness and a particularly liberal approach to water. These characteristics are embodied in the master bedroom, where the washbasins and free-standing Starck X bathtub stand directly next to the bed.
The sophistication of Starck X bath lies in its detail: white stones catch the bath water as it overflows into the surrounding channel while a colored light module produces a play of relaxing hues. Water also dominates the exterior of this impressive residential building with a blue shimmering pool.
